Simon Denny: Extractor/Squatter Board Game Lid, 2019
Silkscreen and digital print on cardboard , 37 x 51 cm

Simon Dennys oeuvre manifests itself in various media such as video, sculpture, print and installation. Thematically, he negotiates the globalization of modern society with a focus on digitalization, capitalism, neoliberalism, technology, and national identity. From an almost dystopian perspective, these influences are provocatively reflected in the work created especially for the Kunstverein, a collage of various board games, in the divergence of retrophilia and a gloomy reaction to social and technical developments.
