Forbidden Love: Art in the Wake of Television Camp explores the garish mannerisms television employs to seduce the viewer and describes television as an aesthetic world of experience with its manifold formats and languages and their inherent ambiguities – explicitly referring to Susan Sontags Notes on Camp. The book comprises essays by Sandro Droschl, Kathrin Jentjens, Andy Medhurst and Anja Nathan-Dorn, a documentation of artistic contributions, further comprehensive reading material and two small flipbooks. The exhibition and the publication are a joint project by Kölnischer Kunstverein and Kunstverein Medienturm, Graz.
